Really? Again?

So I'm watching this clip from the Hannity show on the FOX news network. Tell me why people act like their dumb? Here's the clip:

My Analysis
I definitely understand what he's talking about and I'm not going to sit here and lie and say that I feel all lovey-dovey about a black man getting with a white woman. But if that's what you wanna do. do you. Love is love and I cannot judge. I'm not hating on random strangers, especially Tiger Woods who, like may other biracial people of status and acclaim decide not to claim being white. So I'm not mad at dude for marrying a white woman. Let him do what he wants to do. He is not accountable to me nor is he accountable to the black community. He lost the accountability when he decided he was not black enough to be considered black. And even if he was black  to me, I am not Jesus so I can't judge him. When OJ married that white woman and got himself in trouble by killing her ( we all agreed that he killed her right?) it looked worst for him, why? 'Cause he was black and she was white. Don't get it twisted, the black community supported him in his craziness. But He was still wrong and in the public eye, he will always be a villain because he killed that "poor white girl".
As a black woman, I know that we cannot always depend on the media to depict us as beautiful. But for ages, we as black woman were assured within ourselves that black men had not fallen for standard set by the media. They still found us worth the pursuit of courtship, the labor of love that is marriage and a rightful dispenser for their children. I think it is a innate desire of not only black woman but of all woman to be wanted by a man. Recently, more black males are marrying outside of their race than ever before. It is a small percentage of black males and of course, there are more white males marrying outside of their race than black males, but proportionately, black males find life partners outside of their race more readily. The feeling brought about is that we are not good enough for our own men. If it were not compounded by the fact that we are not good enough for society as the ideal mom (single black mothers portrayed in the media), the ideal wife (nagging, opinionated, and loud as portrayed by the media) or the ideal female ( most female icons of beauty and overall femininity are white). Why must white people like Hannity and his friend act like we do not already live in a society that puts black females down? Why is he acting like racism doesn't exist? How can you get past a psychological mindset that has been ingrained over centuries?  Don't act like your dumb. If your white wife wants to feel wanted, don't you think it would make sense that black females would want to feel wanted too?

Die, Chick, Die!

Yeah...problems. I have cried more in these last weeks in front of people than I ever have.  First last week, I cried because I made mistakes. This week, I cried because I interjected in a confrontation between John and Nadine ( my host parents) and I felt so justified but I suppose the Holy Spirit is working in me, or maybe it was self rising up in me but I felt remorseful about my outburst and I cried in front of them again as I was apologizing to John. Poor John. Poor host  family. I believe crying is a response to the books I've been reading about dying to self. But I cannot discern whether it is the Holy Spirit or self that is causing this emotional response in me. But I am realizing the futility of self and it sucks being unstable. In other news, My hair is a mess. I slept on my twistout last night becasue I didn't want to twist them over again and risk more breakage. One side of my head is all straggly and the other side is full and luscious...

This Time

#Makeitwonderful So I'm up on this song right now. It's by Melanie Fiona and it talks about how much more the speaker/singer would put into their relationship the next time around. Take a listen or a watch... I think it's a powerful message for those seeking a second, third, fourth, fifth ... chance at life. Right now, I live with a family in which the husband must have done something bad in the past because no matter how much good he does (and he does a lot of good), it will never be enough. This is my issue. The past was hard to live through the first time. Why would I want to pay for it in every second for the rest of my life? This song speaks of putting the past behind and promising the best for the future. Let go of the past. I can't live with the guilt of the past. I can only pour all of me into a occurring present for a brighter future.  ...But I don’t wanna do it over The first time is gone away You can’t rewrite the past All I can do is say This t...

I'm Amazed

Yes I'm taking a picture with my phone. And what? Look at that forehead! The majority my face is my forehead. I don't know what I'm doing with my hair. Think I'll wear my hat tonight. But look at those beautiful teeth! And those eyes! Sweet! Can wait till I grow back those eyelashes and that brow! I need to rock those contacts. Those eyes can not be hidden any longer. Bday is coming up in a month and some days. Y'all pray that my lashes grow back by then. Any who...so the reason why the phone is in the pic. I lost this phone yesterday evening when my friend was dropping me off near the mailbox so I could bring in the mail. Unfortunately, I was clueless to what occurred until I was in the house. By then I wasn't sure if I left it in the vehicle, if it was hidden in one of the bags I take with me to school, or if I had accidentally dropped it on the ground in front of the house or the mailbox. As it was already dark outside, I decided to leave the excursion fo...
